Deep down in a secret underground lab, down a dark unused alcove stands an impenetrable prison for something not of this Earth. Unlike in the movies where an alien race comes from lightyears away to destroy the planet, this creature/alien came through a portal of man's design.

Reaching through the ether, CERN opened up a temporary portal to some other realm when a single creature found its way through. A monster of sorts. Human-like, bipedal creature with nightmarishly long claws and glowing bluish-green eyes. It moved so fast no one had a chance to escape or fight back. but someone DID hit the panic button. 

Rescue teams went down with all of the military brass to do damage control. However, it was too late. The creature violently destroyed everything in its path. The portal was closed, thankfully, but it left no one alive.

When the creature was finally spotted and subsequently captured, it was looking for a way out of the destroyed lab. Luckily the military brought their toys and made quick work of the monster. Until it got back up and tried repeatedly to attack again. It took ten men using all of their military strength and might to restrain and subdue the monster.

Now it lingers in our realm on our planet, sitting behind incredibly thick glass, watching the world from within its cold watery cage. Perhaps staring at things, we humans cannot see.
