Lance Mannerim, and Peter Clipton were astronauts aboard a starship on their way to the Alpha Centuri, when something took their ship off course. Way off course. Something BIG. Some massive universal force of nature perhaps?

After stumbling through space, they were able to regain control and get their bearings, but before any data was ever processed, a strange walkway appeared in their field of vision. Something you certainly would not find floating in dead space. However, this was NOT dead space.

The concentration of planets, and even the stars themselves, didn't look familiar. They were unlike anything the projected course indicated. When the data finally began to stream in however, it became clear what had happened, but nobody dared try to understand it. Something massive took their entire ship and sent it somehow to a different point in space. Millions of light years away from where they should have been. 

Something brought them there.
They were very far away from home. that much was certain, However, the lure of such a strange artifact floating around in space propelled them both out of their ship, leaving their crew on standby while they tried to explore this incredibly strange mystery.
